Activation code problems with ZoneAlarm NextGen products

The following troubleshooting steps can help with many different Activation code issues in ZoneAlarm NextGen products including Invalid OTP error message.

Do you use a VPN connection? If so, turn off your VPN and do the following.
Note: that you still need to the steps below even if you don't have a VPN. 

 

1. In the search box on the taskbar, click Start, type command prompt, right-click the command prompt result and then select Run as administrator and confirm.

2. At the command prompt (decline restarting your machine until you have entered the final command):   

3. Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.

4. Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.

5. Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter. (This will stall for a moment.)

6. Type netsh int ip reset and press Enter. (Don't restart yet.)

7. Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.

8. Now restart your machine using Start > Power > Restart

 

After the restart, right-click on the ZoneAlarm icon on your desktop or start menu. (Don't connect to your VPN).
Select Run as administrator.
Retry the activation process.

  1. Open ZoneAlarm.
  2. Click the ? Icon located at the upper right corner.
  3. Click Enter Activation code.
  4. Enter your 6 digit activation code on the line.
  5. Click Activate.
