ZoneAlarm Blocking Chrome

I have been running Chrome for a while with no problems. Today I noticed that some pages were being blocked  but now no pages will load with Chrome.  Firefox has no issues and runs fine.  Chrome gives me the error    ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED

If I shut down the ZA Firewall and AV the problem still exists. If I Exit ZA then Chrome works fine

 

I am running windows 7 Pro 64 bit and  ZoneAlarm  ZoneAlarm with Antivirus

    I don't see any problem with Chrome and ZA. I'm running a more recent version of Chrome than you are and that might be the issue.

    I haven't seen any one else report this issue and Chrome is a hugely popular browser so if ZA was causing this issue there be thousands of complaints here.

    Also browser extensions and add-ons can create that error, so try uninstalling your browser extensions you may have installed to see if the problem disappears.

    Id suggest google ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED for possible Chrome solutions if your still having the issue.

    I have the exact same problem with Chrome not being compatable with Zone Alarm and get the same message.  I am told to check my fire wall settings which are set to the most liberal settings without completely turning off the firewall.  Firefox works fine.  So clearly there is something changed either in Chrome or in Zone Alarm.  December 17, 2022
