Is there anyway to whiteliste websites from being scanned?
Answered

ZoneAlarm keeps scanning the same websites over and over like Twitter, and Amazon, and etc and it prevents me from putting in my password with my password manager.

Can I request this as a feature in the next version of ZoneAlarm Anti-Ransomwear?

Thanks,

pogue

  • Hello,

Thank you for posting your question in the community.

ZoneAlarm Anti-Ransomware's Web Secure browser extension has Anti-Phishing technology to protect your personal data.

Anti-Phishing will scan websites and any fields where you can enter data.  This only take a few short seconds when it does this and when its done you can enter data then.

Its does not block you or prevent you from entering data. (Unless its found to be a Phishing site) Only during those few seconds when you see it scanning is when you cannot enter data. After that you can.

No there no plans to make any whitelists or anyway to select sites to not scan. The reason is because a website could be fine today but can change and could have been hacked and the data you enter on that site could be captured by hackers.

You can go into the option of the Web Secure browser extension and turn off Anti-Phishing all together.

  • What is Whitelist?

Cause it won't load and go on the internet? For support?

  • A whitelist is the opposite of a blacklist. A whitelist is where you add sites that you know are safe and don't need to be scanned. Because it's scanning Amazon over and over everytime I try and search for anything or put in my username and password.
