hi !

Is there somebody using zone alarm extreme security beta ? I am on eset now but interested to have some informations.

Does it exist some interesting improvements in the good way? (performance, files/folders/drives exclusion (other than .exe), security ...)

    just a heads up, the beta app comes with only 5 days of license and is an older version compared to the full version of the product. :(

    Ok, so Zone Alarm has no improvement since 2024 July. It explains all the issues it has. It seems ZA is an abandonware now.

    I tested it for few days, it seems to have 30 days to test it, like the full version. But if we tested the full version before the beta, it start the test in continuing the countdown licence. Also I did not know that the beta was older.

    But, it seems to have less issues with memory usage. And the system does not slow down like the full version. For performances, the beta is better. In terms of security, sadly it’s really not recommended to install and keep it installed...

    well the support team has been saying that there is an ongoing development work in it, don't know if that is true or not. Maybe some one from ZA can comment here.

    I contacted the chat. Here is the answer:

    "At the moment, there's no discussion of releasing a new beta version.
    If a new one is released in the future, we'll make sure to inform our customers."

    So wait and see..
