vsmon.exe downloading something in the background

I just installed zone alarm free firewall and noticed vsmon.exe downloading something in the background. I let it get to 100mb before I killed the connection. What is it downloading?

    Helo,

     

    VSMON is the core of our firewall.

    When ever your PC  needs to access the internet, all the traffic goes through VSMON.

    So what your seeing is just internet activity passing through VSMON.

    VSMON is not actually downloading anything for it self.

    Unfortunate due to how windows is designed and how our firewall works with the OS the OS tools that are showing you VSMON is receiving data from the internet cannot tell which process or app  on your PC is actually downloading the data.
