Why doesn't zonealarm allow me to temporarily block apps

The old zonealarm used to allow the user to temporarily block an app/program. You'd get a pop up and was able top block internet access for that use. Now you have to hunt through the programs on the firewall permission list to unblock it or block it as you need. Such a waste of time. Is there a way to get back the pop up requests for access as in the old version?

    Thank you for your feedback.

    The popup message is no longer part of ZoneAlarm.  But we do still have the option to block applications as you have pointed out.

    So the really important aspect of security is still in NextGen the ability to block an application.
